My window with a view

We appreciated living with my sister when we first arrived back in the states.  If anyone knows my sister Laura, she always opens her home and heart to all who have a need!  John, Tricia, Gabbi and I stayed in her guest bedroom so you can imagine how crowded we were…their was just not enough elbow room!  So when we eventually moved into our new home, we were all so excited about the newness of it, we get our own bedrooms, two bathrooms, a cozy living area, nice size yard to play in and safe streets to ride down.

But my view out the kitchen window was not what I had bargained for.  Who wants to look at their neighbors bedroom window?  IMG_0523I forgot what it was like to live in a neighborhood right next to someone!  Uggh!  We have been living…let’s see…2 years in Costa Rica on top of a hill on 2 1/2 acres.  Before that, we lived for 8 years on our 2 1/2 acre lot in Arlington, Texas.  So for the last 10 years we could pretty much walk around in our underwear and not be concern with the “Joneses”.  Haha!

John to the rescue!  John knew I didn’t like the view so he made a trip to Home Depot and purchased this artscapeArtwork for your windows.  I came home from working at the Cowboy Stadium one day…and voil’a!  How beautiful is this window!?  IMG_0522
When the sun rises and daylight emerges…without turning on lights..the kitchen area is so inviting!  The window artwork has added a warmth to our open kitchen/dining room/living room concept.  Now when I stand there washing dishes…I can peek into another world and let my imagination run wild like the Wisteria!

Nothing will ever compare to our awesome Atenas, Costa Rican views from my kitchen window!  Nothing!!  I could see four volcanoes, two that were active; Poas & Turrialba, and watch the prettiest sunrises over the Central Valley!  Ahhhh… IMG_1487 I must admit…I do miss Costa Rica.  There is a certain charm about the place that we use to call home…but just don’t tell John!  One day, we will return…

But for now…I’m going to enjoy looking at my ‘beautiful’ artscape window that my wonderful husband, John, thought enough to install for me!  After all, a happy wife in the kitchen means a happy wife in the…
