Guess what? She made it! Yes, Tricia made the Sky Dancers drill team for high school next year! 
She’s been taking Jazz & Hip-Hop dance classes to learn the many techniques necessary to be on drill team. Last week, Tricia attended drill team clinics at the high school for two hours after school. This week, Tricia's been competing at the tryouts where 40+ girls had to learn routines in Jazz, Military, Chaines, Grande Jetes and Pirouettes, as well as evaluating her Splits techniques. Yeah, it’s all foreign dance lingo to me, but not for Tricia…she is totally apprised of the techniques!
I’ve never seen Tricia so happy and excited! She’s calling and texting all her friends to tell them. Right now she’s telling her Dad, in Costa Rica, the great news! Tricia has her fitting for her uniform next Tuesday…she’ll be totally excited and crazy till then! I look forward to posting her photo with her uniform on soon!
I’m so happy for her! She practiced everyday and never gave up! She learned the routines in a short period of time even when her arms and legs were aching with pain. Last night I gave her Ibuprofen to relieve her arm pain. And even though her arms are still aching today from the routines performed this week, ...the joy in her heart has all but numbed the necessary pain to succeed!
